quaudio™ is computationally efficient and can easily be accommodated on any standard digital signal processor. A demonstrator based on a Texas Instruments DSP requires only 1,000 lines of code in C, while the .out file of the compiled C code is about 350 kB. The code prepared for writing to Flash memory is about 8.3 MB.
Regards processor overhead, quaudio™ consumes between 1.7 MIPS for a simple directional microphone to 2.8 MIPS for a four-channel Dolby surround microphone and 3.2 MIPS for a 5.1 true surround microphone.
